Welcome to the Garage Sale Center mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we store and share it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when using the App:

  • User-Generated Listings: To publish a garage sale listing, you provide a listing title, description, and images.

  • Contact Information: To allow potential buyers to reach you, you explicitly provide your Name and Phone Number.

  • Device and Usage Data (Optional): If you opt in, we collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and basic app usage metrics to personalize ads.

2. Public Disclosure of Your Listings

 

Important Notice: The name, phone number, images, and descriptions you add to your garage sale posts are publicly visible to all other users of the App. Please do not post any sensitive or private personal information that you do not want publicly accessible.

3. Storage of Your Information

All user-generated content (including listings, names, images, and phone numbers) is stored using Google Firebasebackend cloud services. By using this App, you acknowledge and agree that your data will be stored and processed through Google’s database servers.

4. App Tracking & Personalized Advertising

We use third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network) to show advertisements inside our App.

  • Opt-In Tracking: In compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, we will ask for your explicit permission before tracking your activity or accessing your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA).

  • If You Opt In: We use this data to deliver personalized, relevant ads to you.

  • If You Decline: You will still see the same number of ads, but they will be generic. You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your iOS Device Settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or permanent deletion of your personal data.

If you wish to delete a specific post or request that your contact details be removed from our Firebase database, please contact us at the email address below.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any major changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
